A Few words from theeditors…After an year of waiting the CEA magazine is back with a bang.It has grown both in terms of quality and quantity of thearticles and poetry published. What started off as just anewsletter has now become the most important non-scientificpublication of the department.We all know the famous saying that goes as “Well begun is halfdone”. There cannot be a better beginning in this season ofinterviews than an account of a few interview encounters ofone of the most experienced faculty members of our department.Global warming being a serious threat to the society, we havedecided to include “GREEN” articles…not one but two of them(though not in the same ecological senses).Tired of being a Chemical Engineer? This year’s edition hasarticles solely dedicated to those who are looking forinspiration for a career elsewhere. We being a primarilyresearch oriented department, we cannot risk not having“research oriented” articles in our annual magazine, can we?This department is filled with romantics, philosophers andacademicians. Put all these different personas together andyou end up with a potpourri of talents, ranging from verses ofsoulful poetry to works of art that depict the various coloursof life.This year although we have tried to give the magazine aninformal outlook; we have also included a news section havingall the events of the last one year pertaining to thedepartment.
