If the permissible temperaturelimit value is reached, or if a fault occurs within the permissibletemperature range on the monitoring equipment (sensoropen, sensor short-circuit, failure of a component part in the device, fault in the software, failure or inadmissible value of the supplyvoltage etc.), the STL50 switches off without delay. The alarm contact is activated, the LED ALARM on the front paneland the back-lighting of the display light up, and the error cause isindicated as plain text on the display. In addition, there is a 24 V DCsignal present on the terminals 17-18 for an external alarm signal.DescriptionProgrammingThe device is programmable via front side buttons in connectionwith the graphic display.Operating modesThe device can be used as:STB Maximum- or minimum-monitoring with hold. Resetpossible after omission of the fault with the external orinternal button.ASTB as before, but monitoring the exhaust gas temperatureSTW Maximum- or minimum-monitoring without hold.Automatic reset after leaving the dangerous rangeSwitching hysteresis always acts in the direction of safe range. The last fault is stored as plain text and can be called up in theworking level and deleted.CE-conformity : EN 55022, EN 60555IEC 61000-4-2/3/4/5/6/11/13Ambient conditionsOperating temperature : -10..+55 °CStorage temperature : -30..+60 °CRelative humidity : < 95 %Condensation: not permittedoperation only in vibration less ambientApprovalsEN 14597:2005EN 61508:2001 SIL2Title: temperature control devices andtemperature limiters forheat-generating systems: functional security safety-relatedelectrical/electronic/programmableelectronic systemsInputPt100 : in the range -100.0..+600.0 °C3-wire, max. line resistance 4 Ωeach linesensor current
