A communication from the Stated Clerk of theWestern Section of the Alliance of Presbyterian Churches wasreferred to the committees on Finance and Nominations.No. 8. The report of the Treasurer of the Aged Peoples'Home was referred to the committee on Finance.No. 9. A paper with reference to the estate of Joshua Fariswas referred to the committee on Finance.No. 10. A paper concerning a certain estate in the handsof Synod's Board of Trustees was referred to the committee onFinance.J. G. McElhinney introduced the followingresolution which was adopted:That a committee of nine be appointed to consider the mat-Jter of a forward movement in the work of the entire churchyand to present a definite plan to this Synod by which the workof the church may be co-ordinated, and which may be presentedto our congregations as a specific program for a forwarldmovement in the Covenanter Church, and that this committeereport before definite plans for the various departments of thechurch's work are adopted.The naming of this committee was referred to the committeeon Nominations.A memorial service for the ministers who havepassed away during the year was made the order ofthe day for 2:00 P. M. Monday.The report of the Central Board was read andreferred to the committees on Home Missions andFinance.The report of the Jewish Mission Board was readand referred to the committees on Home Missionsand Finance.The report of the committee on Psalmody wasread and taken up item by item for adoption.Items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, were adopted.
