Such compounds may be used on food processing equipment as a protectiveanti-rust film, as a release agent on gaskets or seals of tank closures, and as alubricant for machine parts and equipment in locations in which there is apotential exposure of the lubricated part to food. The amount used should bethe minimum required to accomplish the desired technical effect on theequipment. If used as an anti-rust film, the compound must be removed fromthe equipment surface by washing or wiping, as required to leave the surfaceeffectively free of any substance which could be transferred to food beingprocessed.Additin® RC 6340 is acceptable as an ingredient for use in lubrcants with nofood contact (HX-2). Such compounds may be used as lubricants, releaseagents, or antirust films on equipment and machine parts in locations wherethere is no possibility of the lubricant or lubricated part contacting edibleproducts.Formulations containing NSF Registered ingredients are not considered to beNSF Registered products (e.g. H1 or H2 lubricants).
