842. menduban alemu hasselt, Belgium Dear President Obama, Ethiopia's tyrant Meles Zenawi is
the source of all mess in Ethiopia, Meles is an illegitimate
leader, who has taken control of Ethiopia by force while
robbing the people of the country of their national
resources. Meles the name of "silent killer" ,is the 9th worst
of the worst leader in the world ( Prof. Gregor Ayittey 2010
edition), & constantly amoung the world top 10 enemies of
the press/ Freedom of Speech since he came to power in
1991 (accourding to CPJ, Reports Without
Borders,HRW,,,reports)
Infact, in the last 20 years, under Meles direct command
his federal police forces shot dead thousands of innocent
civilians & opposition party members , according to some
sources , today 30-50 thousand political prisoners/
prisoners of conscience in Ethiopia, who have committed "
State" crimes by exercising their guaranteed " Human &
Democratic Rights ". Besides, in the name of investment,
Meles has placed Ethiopia under the market forces of
globalization so as to sell or lease its fertile lands to
international land-grabbers, the colonial regime of Zenawi
has been violently evicting the Ethiopian villagers from
their homes and farmlands because his motto is “sell and
eat today and die tomorrow.” According to Oakland
Institute sources, this time in Gambella only estimated that
75% of the domestic Investors which is widely to receive
beneficial treatment in relation to investment and given
land freely & receive preferential access to credit were
from Tigray (Zenawi’s ethnic group people) such a practice
is a kind of Colonialism. Therefore, please, open your mind
& heart to help our people & be part of the voice of the
voiceless Ethiopian. Thank you.
843. Ken Thesing Nairobi, Kenya I first came to Tanzania in 1972. Hunger and agricultural
development have been part of my life since. There are
varying opinions on how best to achieve 'food security.' But
simply removing people from their land without FIRST
preparing for their care and future is unconscionable.
