Activity 5Free Standing TowerGive each group (no more than 4 students per group) an envelope containing 2 pieces of 8 1/2x 11 paper and 12 paper clips and a pair of scissors.Instruct students to build the highest freestanding tower they can only using the supplies in theenvelope. The envelope and scissors may not be used.They only have 8 minutes to complete the structure.Inform the groups that they will earn points for every inch their structure is high.
