chapter 12241Incremental Design12.1 Black box to white box 12.2 Prototypingin stages12.3 An example – DSDMIn a book such as this, where software design activities form the principalobject of study, it is easy to develop a rather compartmentalized view ofdesign activities and of the context within which they are performed. This chapter considers how design activities are organized within a moredynamic context, where they need to be interleaved with other developmentaltasks, and where they may be constrained by having only limitedtime available for completion.
