vi. The candidate with fellowship from the UGC, CSIR etc. / Project Fellow appointedin the major research project from funding agency / and teachers working inaffiliated colleges shall be exempted from appearing for entrance test.vii. If the candidates have passed Master’s degree in grading system, they may beasked to get equivalent marks or classification for the same from the Universityconcerned and the same may be forwarded to the office with the selected list.viii. The conditions for admission prescribed under the regulations in respect of thePh.D. programme should be strictly followed. All candidates should have passedtwo years PG degree course after three years first degree course and highersecondary of 12 years duration or two years PG degree course after three yearsfirst degree course with one year pre University under 11 years SSLC (10+2+3+2 /11+1+3+2). Candidates who have passed the PG degree examination with lessthan 17 years of total duration of the course are not eligible for admission to thePh.D, programme. However, those who have qualified PG degree and M.Phil.degree under Open University system without undergoing the pattern of study arealso eligible for admission to Ph.D. programme.ix. The Head of the Department of the University / The Principal of the College / thedirector of recognized research institution should insist on the production of aneligibility certificate obtained from the Registrar of this University, before grantingadmission to them in respect of candidates who have passed their qualifyingexamination from other boards / Universities.x. While forwarding the admission list the following should be furnisheda. The applications of the candidates who have applied for the Ph.D.programme along with the enclosures.b. List of the candidates applied, interviewed and selected [as per the formatgiven in the last page].c. Minutes of the meeting of the Departmental selection Committee withsignatures of all the members.d. The check list of certificates {expect Transfer certificate) verified andcertified by the departmental admission committee.e. In case of foreign candidates a research visa obtained from the respectiveHigh Commission / Embassy or through Human Resource Development,Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi, for the period of the Ph.D.programme. (two or three years as the case may be).xi. The fees payable to the university should be collected from each candidate andremitted to the university after receipt of the communication regarding approval foradmission to the Ph.D. programme from this University.xii. The following fees are payable by every research student admitted to theDepartments:Sl.No. Description Amountin Rs.i. In addition to the above, the following fees are also payable by every candidatewho is working in Laboratories:vi. Caution Deposit1200.00(refundable at the time of leaving the Department after deductionthe cost of breakages, if any)vii. Special Laboratory fee for Chemicals [per annum] 1500.00viii. Special Laboratory fee for Computers200.00(Candidates must provide for themselves the consumable forcomputer facility.)[per annum]The following fees are payable by every research scholar admitted to thecollege/ Institution:ix. Library fee [per annum] 120.00The ultimate responsibility of admission rests only with the Heads of the Departmentsof the University/ Principals of the Colleges/ Directors of the Research Institutionsconcerned.If it is observed at a later stage that the admission given by the University Department/College/ Research Institution is incorrect, the same will be cancelled by the universityat any stage of the Ph.D. Programme. The Heads of the Departments of the University/ Principals/ Directors should certify that the selections are made on the basis ofguidelines issued by the University.
