After scratches are determined the swimmers are then seeded in the properheats.SUBMITTED TIMESThose times filed with an entry as having been previously achieved by the swimmer.TIMED FINALS:Competition in which only heats are swum and final placings are determined by the timesperformed in the heats. Most meets you will attend will be timed finals.TIME STANDARDThe time standard for any event in a meet is the cut off time for that event.TIME TRIALAn event or series of events where swimmers may meet to achieve or better a required timestandard.
