OFSAA-Sanctioned Invitational EventsWhen OFSAA sanctions a school to host an invitationalevent, all teams participating in that competition must beeligible under OFSAA rules and regulations, and teamsand individuals must be supervised by a teacher for theduration of the event.Cross Country in the USTeams or individuals participating in cross country meets inthe US this fall MUST receive OFSAA sanction to attend.Failure to notify OFSAA on the appropriate form, wellbefore the event, will result in the school not being grantedentry into the meet.Many states holding invitational competitions requireOntario teams to receive sanction from their provincialorganization.Interprovincial Tournaments or Exhibition EventsSchools sending competitors to events in other provincesmust seek sanction from OFSAA as well. Schools hostingteams or individual competitions where schools from otherprovinces are participating must also receive sanction, orthe invited schools may not attend.EventsThe forms for these sanctions are on OFSAA’s websiteunder Forms, and should be submitted at least 30 daysprior to your event.Check the website for regular updates on OFSAAsanctionedInvitationals and to check that your school’ssanction is listed if you have applied.
