Increase Security. Reduce Operation Costs. Reduce Liability. The A-Series ATM Access Management System fromSargent & Greenleaf increases security and managementefficiency while reducing operation costs and potentialliability. In response to shared access of ATMs, theA-Series provides greater accountability and controlof operations, while simplifying ATM deployment, replenishment and service access withoutcompromising security.2

Introducing the ASERIES . The intelligent solution to shared ATM access.Improved One-Time-Use CodesTo ensure greater security, the A-Series One-Time-Use operationcodes are time- and date-based and expire if not utilized–anindustry first! This eliminates out-of-synccombinations and close codeswithout compromising security.Greater Operational EfficiencyNo need to coordinate costly vendor meetings! The A-Series ATM Access Management System utilizesefficient and secure file transfers to facilitateATM access authorizations. No need for“super-shelving” provides greatercontrol of subcontractor access.More PreciseAudit TrailTo ensure higheraccountability, the A-Series Audit Trail is moredetailed, accurateand specific than anyin the industry. And thetime/date/duration recordsare not susceptible to timedrift and other external variables.Fast and EasyRetrofitA-Series locks areeasier to retrofit ontoexisting ATMsbecause there areno spindles to cut.A-Series locks canalso integrate intoother existing cashvault safes quicklyand easily.Higher Operation Mode FlexibilityTwo independent “modes” of operation, Bank Mode and ServiceMode, provide greater security, flexibility and efficiency. Open systemarchitecture allows for multiple service mode subcontractors. BankMode included in standard configuration. Service Mode isinitialized easily, without opening the ATM.3

The solution to shared access liability.Higher Operation Mode FlexibilityThe standard A-Series lock features two independent “modes”of operation, Bank Mode and Service Mode.Bank ModeFor in-branch applications, the Bank Mode is the default operationmode of the A-Series lock and provides bank management withgreater control of access and security.• Dual control or Manager/Employee modes available• Time delay from 0 to 99 minutes• 16 PIN positions available (2 Officer, 4 Admin, 10 User)• Touch Key only required for audit downloadService ModeOnce the lock is initialized for Service Mode of operation, theLock Management System provides service management withgreater control of access and security.A 4-digit PIN and Touch Key are assigned to each system userand will remain with that individual. Access and other operationsare granted through the generation and issuance of uniqueOne-Time-Use operation codes that are controlled by time, date and time window.Improved One-Time-Use CodesThe A-Series One-Time-Use operation code has been specificallydesigned to greatly reduce liability and increase accountabilityfor all parties sharing access to an ATM.A 4-digit PIN and Touch Key are assigned to each system userand remain with that individual. Access and other operationsare granted through the generation and issuance of a uniqueOne-Time-Use operation code. For every system ATM and lock, any number of One-Time-Use operation codes can be active inthe field at any given time, and no code will affect the validityof another code. With the A-Series lock, the Lock Management System generates acode for a specific action to be taken by an approved individual atan approved time and date. Other systems are limited to assigning anindividual and an action. With the A-Series lock, you have morecontrol. You set the date and the time. The approved actionmust be completed during this specific time window or thecode will automatically expire if not used.Microsoft PC Windows-based Lock ManagementSystem software:• Identifies system users• Initializes Touch Key• Creates One-Time-Use operation codes to perform multiplefunctions at the lock• Audits all activitiesThe Service Mode’s Lock Management System can definea time window for access. The user’s Touch Key isdisabled when the lock is opened. Once the lockis properly secured, the user’s Touch Key isenabled for the next operation. Failure toproperly secure the lock disables that user’s Touch Keyand future operations require Lock ManagementSystem intervention.Microsoft PC Windows-based LockManagement System software is easyto use and operate.4

Easy Installation and IntegrationThe A-Series Lockkey remains in place–it does not need to beheld by the user. Itmaintains constantcontact so that thereare no errors orfailed attempts toread the key.The Sargent & Greenleaf A-Series lock allows direct retrofitto most models of ATMs or safes. Installation is quick andeasy–there is no spindle to cut.The versatile A-Series Lock Management System PC-basedsoftware application operates under Windows ’98, ME, NT 2000,and XP and is LAN & WAN capable. The program utilizes theMicrosoft SQL database engine and the Microsoft SQL Serverfor network applications.System architecture allows for the integration of the codegeneration module into large-scale customer platforms utilizingS&G’s LINK system integration software. The system is virtuallyunlimited in the number of ATMs, A-Series locks and users thatcan be managed together. And any A-Series locks can be easilytransferred to and from Service Mode without requiring accessinside the ATM or the need for skilled technicians. For environmentscontaining other ATM lock technologies, S&G’s RMS softwareallows A-Series to be integrated quickly and easily.Expansion modules are also available for remote power,alarm/CCTV integration and multi-lock applications suchas depositories and cassette locking systems. Whatever yourneeds, our integration team will work with you to provide aseamless application within your existing operations architecture.Overview of Client-Server Configuration for Network InstallationSecondarySystem “X”SecondarySystem 2Client 1SecondarySystem 1Central OperationsFile TransferFile TransferFile TransferOperationsCenterLANLANLANClient 2Client “X”Branch OperationsWANWANWANWANWANBranch 1Branch 2 Branch 3 Branch 4Branch “X”Operator 1Operator XOperator 2NOTES:1.
