Many integrated functions in SAUTER automation stationsEY3600 nova automation stations consistently put the concept of distributedintelligence into practice. The stations are freely programmable, allowingdecentralised, autonomous operation for individual control. Alongside extensiveregulation, control and logic functions, the automation stations also feature atime and calendar function and a local historical database. Information affectingseveral areas is exchanged independently in cross-traffic. For example, energymanagement for peak load limitation is fully integrated into the system.8

The same high-performance microprocessoris used in all the stations. Communication is carried out via BACnet ornovaNet. The EY3600 I/O modules: decentralisedintelligence and manual/emergency operationon site.Independent operation of field modules and automation stationsSelected automation stations allow the control of field modules which functionas ‘intelligent terminals’, substantially cutting the labour required for installation.Supplemented with the added manual operating function, they are fitted eitherin the cabinets or in the technical system direct.
