It’s certainly worth that tobe a part of one of Florida’s finest lodges, if not thefinest.Certainly worth it for the social activities in thislodge, everything from swinging balls to Sunday breakfasts, from outdoor events to after-meeting socializingand collation.Worth more than that to know we’re supportinglocal and state children’s charities such as our children’stherapy services and youth camp.Worth it to help support local youth programs suchas scouting and sports teams, or national youth programssuch as Hoop Shoot, Soccer Shoot, and collegescholarships.Indeed, our support for the men and women whoserved our country in the armed forces are worth ameasly $8.50.And what’s in it for me? An exercise room andsauna, a stimulation pool area, courts for basketball, racquetball, and tennis; relaxing meals before lodge or committeemeetings; Friday and Saturday night dinners andlive music, Sunday breakfasts – none of which you couldbeat for the price out there in the private sector, even ifyou didn’t mind the crowds. It’s worth $8.50 to us.Our officers, lodge manager, and House Committeeare doing their best to make sure it’s worth it to you andto your friends. If you have friends who balk at renewingtheir dues, you may want to show them this article, and then extend their invitation to come on back to ourLodge 948.Whether you have time and energy to expend involunteering, or whether you just wish for a friendlyplace to meet friends, be pampered and waited on, we’rehere and we’re waiting to meet your needs.BLOOD DRIVE NEWSTheresa Beno and Angela MaltzmannOnce again, we are appealing to our members. OnTuesday, August 12th, it’s blood drive time again.
