Dear Burlingame Friends,
Welcome to Mardi Gras! Please, grab your masks, throw a string or two of beads, kick up
your heels and celebrate! This is a night to parade your fi nest and revel in the merriment of
friends and community.
We have much to celebrate here in Burlingame – a safe and vibrant town, rich in history with
a long tradition of excellence. Our public schools are the jewel in the Burlingame crown and
we celebrate the wonderful community support for public education.
Let’s raise our paddles high. Our goal tonight is to raise $250,000 to ensure our children get
the individual attention that small classes provide, to enable the District to deliver an
enriched, well-rounded curriculum and to support quality instruction in our classrooms.
Your attendance and generous donations throughout the year help to close the gap between
minimal state funding and the high-quality education we believe all children deserve.
On behalf of the BCE Board of Directors, thank you to everyone involved in making this
