DC won the first two games before dropp<strong>in</strong>g the f<strong>in</strong>ale of the serieson Sunday. The victories improved the <strong>Darton</strong> record to 13-11 overall and 5-3 <strong>in</strong>region play. In Saturday’s victory, Trent Dooly homered and sophomore TaylorWhitenton improved his record by pick<strong>in</strong>g up the victory on the mound for DC.Levi Futo took the hill for game two and was credited with the victory for theCavs.In Sunday’s loss, the Cavs rallied from a 9-0 deficit only to fall 11-10.Sophomore Chris Ramos hit a three run homer <strong>in</strong> the eight <strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g to provide the<strong>Cavalier</strong>s some hope of the comeback. On Sunday DC was led at the plate byKelly Williams (2-3, three runs), Tagg Lanier (2-for-5), and Trent Dooly (2-5, tworuns, RBI).Earlier <strong>in</strong> the week <strong>Darton</strong> had its four game w<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g streak snapped byGloucester CC. After battl<strong>in</strong>g back yet aga<strong>in</strong> to tie the game late, DC allowed tworuns <strong>in</strong> the top of the n<strong>in</strong>th <strong>in</strong> the 6-4 loss.Luis C<strong>in</strong>tron and Kelly Williams both went 3-for-4 with doubles and an RBI <strong>in</strong> theloss to Gloucester. Morozova was 2-3 atthe plate with two runs scored. Dest<strong>in</strong>y Echols 1-2 with two walks and three runsscored. Brittney Novickis 2-2 with three RBI and two runs scored.
