From December 2009 to February 2010, the <strong>state</strong> jobless rate peaked at 10.0 percent, whereasthe nation peaked at 10.1 percent in October 2009. From those peaks, both the <strong>state</strong> <strong>and</strong> nation saw fallingunemployment rates until the first quarter of 2011. Throughout the second <strong>and</strong> third quarters of this year, bothunemployment rates have trended up slightly to converge at 9.2 percent in June 2011.WIA IN WASHINGTON STATE < 9
