Often painted in the outof doors, or en plein air, and using alimited palette of three to five colors,his paintings achieve both solidityand an ethereal sense of light.DAVID was born in Washington, DCand grew up in the Virginia countryside.His love for the outdoors wasinstilled early on, growing from childhoodexplorations of field and forest,river and bay. Influences collectedduring his youth color his work tothis day, forming the foundation of alifetime’s interest in nature and art. Atthe urging of his family, David beganprivate art classes around the age often. Over time, his path led to studyingart at VCU and classical figure drawingat the Los Angeles Academy, as wellas portrait and landscape paintingwith some of the finest artist, teachersaround, including Jove Wang, SunnyApinchapong-Yang, Sherrie McGraw,Gay Faulkenberry and Camille Przewodek.David’s paintings have beenawarded a number of prizes, includingartist’s choice and collector’s choice.They have appeared in newspaper andmagazine articles and are includedin corporate and private collectionsthroughout the United States.
