This project required lining of 580 linear feet ofCSP and replacement of 1,206 feet of CSP . Lining wasperformed by inser ting asmooth wall polyethylene pipeinto the deteriorated esp . Lining of the 580 linearfeet was completed at a cost of $10 , 282.00 or aweighted average cost of $17 . 73 per foot. The 1,206linear feet of CSP was replaced at a cost of $22 , 208 . 00or a weighted average cost of $18 . 41 per linear foot .Total cost of the pipe lining and pipe installation ,including end sections , was $49 , 140 . 00Lining of the crossroad pipe provided analternative to closing the road to through trafficwhere high fill or other conditions made replacementdifficult. However , the plastic lin i ng reduces theopening in the pipe and can only be used where itshydraulic capacity is adequate.Projects F- 19-3(5) Secs A and B, F-19-2(9) Secs Aand B, and RS-68l(5), Route 19 , Gasconade County werelet to contract in November 1986 .They were primarilyresurfacing projects .These projects were 37 . 891 mileslong. The esp on these projects \.,rere originallyinstalled between 1930-37 . No record of replacementprior to 1986 by Maintenance was available .These projects required lining of 1 , 675 linear feetof CSP at a cost pf $40,868.00 or a weighted averagecost of $24 . 40 per linear foot .It is interesting to- 23 -
