365 Days of Dining
In a city with over 800 restaurants, 400 of which are Asian, it can be a bit of a challenge to decide where to eat. That’s why,
beginning in June 2012 for one entire year, our new Richmond Foodie Blogger will seek out the city’s best breakfast, lunch or dinner
hot spots, discover who has the best fish and chips or suggest where to try crab linguini or hand-pulled noodles. The tantalizing
results including in-depth reviews, photos, videos, dishes and menus will be posted on our official blog www.365daysofdining.com.
Richmond’s Foodie Blogger will unveil new posts daily which not only chronicle a culinary tale, but also a day-in-the-life and the
journey of this unique role as they experience everything the city has to offer from festivals and events to the individuals who
comprise our culinary scene.
Richmond’s Foodie Blogger was carefully chosen by Tourism Richmond in a one-of-a-kind online job search, its largest campaign
since the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The open auditions for the year-long post which were held in March 2012, sought
out an ambassador who will visit at least one of the city’s restaurants each day, and craft web posts complete with photographs and
video of their culinary adventure. The global search was an unqualified success, attracting over 1500 food lovers and food bloggers.
In June 2012, Tourism Richmond announced the winning social media whiz who will sample the amazing fare our 800+ restaurants
have to offer - one meal and one restaurant at a time, for 365 consecutive days.
