A replacementwas found, however, in BillOakes, a D.U. graduate and former memberof the varsity tennis squad.The big problem that Coach Oakes facedduring the year was filling the gaping holesleft by the graduation of four-year lettermanFred Blumenstein and the transfer ofSteve Sharp, who was also a strong memberof the team last year. The return of topplayers such as Duke Budlong, Scott Zuelke,Conway Felton, Fred DeMaria, and MikeBrewen, produced another fine season,however.
