His numerousinvolvements have includedHead of Surgeryat Sir Charles GardnerHospital in WA, Chairmanof the <strong>Australian</strong>Council on Smoking andHealth, and President ofthe Royal <strong>Australian</strong> Collegeof Surgeons.
