Class II - Residential. Tile may withstandsoft-soled and some normal traffic with limitedquantities of dirt and/or other abrasives. Tile isnot recommended in areas with direct access to theoutside or in areas with large amounts of foottraffic.Class III - Heavy Residential or Light Commercial.Tile may withstand normal footwear and regulartraffic with some dirt and/or other abrasives inlimited quantities. Tile may be used in lightcommercial facilities with limited foot traffic andno direct access to the outside. Examples:residential kitchens and hallways with limitedoutside traffic.Class IV - Commercial. Tile may withstand heavieramounts of traffic with more dirt and abrasives.Examples: commercial kitchens and spaces withregular outside traffic.Class V - Heavy Commercial. Tiles may withstandconstant foot traffic with larger amounts of dirtand/or other abrasives. Examples: airports, malls,and other commercial walkways subject to highvolumes of foot traffic and constant traffic fromthe outside.Manufacturers use the aesthetic classification toidentify the variation of color, texture, andappearance within a particular line of tile. Deletethis requirement if not necessary to express designintent.Add sentence to mosaic paragraphs if manufacturerrecommends tile to be mounted.Consider ceramic-free recycled glass tile with aminimum of 85 percent post-consumer recycledglass. Preference will be given to ceramic-freerecycled glass tile with a minimum of 85 percentpost-consumer recycled glass.**************************************************************************Furnish tiles that comply with ANSI A<strong>13</strong>7.1 and are standard grade tiles[,the exception is glass tile.
