DISTRIBUTION<br />
EEC: SW Britain, SE Belgium, France, Luxembourg, S Germany,<br />
Italy, Sicily, Corsica, Sardinia, Greece. Now probably extinct in<br />
Netherlands where it was formerly found in the South Limburg<br />
Province (Glas, personal communication).<br />
Europe: Found throughout Hungary, Bulgaria, Austria, Switzerland,<br />
Yugoslavia, Albania, Rumania, Spain and Portugal.<br />
Czechoslovakia: Northern boundary of species distribution,<br />
found throughout the year in south Slovakia, especially in the<br />
Slovak Karst, and occasionally in north Slovakia, Moravia and<br />
Bohemia (182).<br />
Poland: Only one known record from the Nietoperzowa cave<br />
near Ojcow in the Krakow-Czestochowa Uppland (1962)<br />
(Bogdanowicz, pers. comm., Bogdanowicz & Ruprecht, pers.<br />
comm., 114).<br />
Rumania: Found in limestone caves in the Rumanian Dobrogea<br />
adjacent to the Black Sea (43).<br />
World: Occurs in the entire southern Palaearctic from Britain to Japan<br />
with the northern boundary through S England, central<br />
Germany, Crimea, Caucasus, Kopet Dag, Kirgizia, S Korea,<br />
Hokkaido and Honshu. The southern boundary includes Morocco,<br />
Algeria and Tunisia, Palestine, Iran, Afghanistan and<br />
through Himalayas to Yunnan.
