Animex Exhibitionprovides some of this insight. It is open toeveryone – providing a supplementarylearning experience for festivalgoers.This year’s Animex exhibition theme is Sets and Propsand will feature most of the sets, props and modelsfrom Tomorrow, a stop motion animation written,directed and animated by Bob Lee. Tomorrow wascreated through the 4mations Digital Shorts animatedshort film scheme funded by Channel 4, the UK FilmCouncil and Northern Film and Media.Also featured are some concept work by Dan Walker,BA (Hons) Industrial Design graduate from TeessideUniversity (pictured) who has applied his creativeskills to film and television hits including the twolatest Batman movies starring Christian Bale, and theratings-busting return of Doctor Who.Dan, 38, first came to Teesside aged 19 from hishome town of Todmorden in the Pennines andgraduated in 1993. He now lives in West Londonand describes his role of a concept artist as thecombination of a designer and illustrator.He said, 'I enjoyed the whole creative process whenstudying at Teesside. There was camaraderie betweenthe students and even now we’re a very tight groupand keep in touch.
