Philip spent days pouring overphotographs in the archive at Windsor Castleand met the Queen Mother when she was100, to present her with a statue of her latehusband Kind George VI, which now standsoutside Dartmouth Naval College.Philip Jackson says: “Meeting the QueenMother at the time was incredibly usefulbecause one could see what a great spirit shewas. Even at that age she was a remarkableexample of how you can live life to the full,right to the very end.”Philip adds: “When you look at thephotographs and the footage, you seldomcatch her without a smile on her face – it wasso obvious that she had the spark of life inher and I really wanted to get that life intothe work.
