Celebratory communion services [Feierabendmahl]
There is a long tradition at the Kirchentag to devote Friday evening
to special celebratory communion services held in local parishes all
over the city and region. It is an opportunity for the host parishes
to offer local hospitality to those who are staying with them and for
hosts and guests to get to know one another a little better. This year’s
biblical texts for the services is Ruth 1:1–22.
