The holder of a winning ticket may win in only one Prize Category per singleLucky Day Lotto Game Panel in connection with the Lucky Day Lotto Game WinningNumbers and shall be entitled only to the highest prize.10. For purposes of prize calculation with respect to any Lucky Day Lotto Game,the calculation shall be rounded down so that prizes shall be paid in multiples of fifty(50) cents.11. The number of Prize Categories and the allocation of the Lucky Day LottoWinnings Pool among the Prize Categories may be changed at the discretion of theDirector. Such change shall be announced by public notice.12. For each Lucky Day Lotto drawing, the Lottery will calculate 2.5% of the FirstPrize pool and maintain a running total of these amounts as a First Prize reserve30
pool. In the event the funds allocated to the Lucky Day Lotto First Prize category forany drawing are insufficient to cover the advertised First Prize established by theseRules, or by the Director or his/her designee, the difference between the advertisedFirst Prize payment and the amount available for First Prize will be paid utilizing the2.5% reserve. If the reserve balance is insufficient to cover the shortfall, then theremaining amount shall be paid from the sales proceeds for the drawing for whichthe shortfall occurred. The reserve pool set-aside shall cease when the fund balancereaches $150,000, and will resume when the reserve pool balance falls below$100,000.13. In the event the funds allocated to any Lucky Day Lotto prize category otherthan First Prize are insufficient to cover any minimum or guaranteed prizeestablished by these Rules or by the Director or his/her designee, the differencebetween the minimum or guaranteed prize payment and the amount available in theparticular prize category will be paid from the sales proceeds for the drawing forwhich the shortfall occurred.14. Excess funds from a Lucky Day Lotto drawing, if any, shall be transferred tothe Common School Fund or Capital Projects Fund, as required by Illinois law.7.4 Mega MillionsSection 7.3 amended effective 5/13/2012 to reference Lucky Day Lotto.1. Odds, prize pool allocations and prize payouts for Mega Millions shall be as setforth in Section 7 of “Mega Millions Official Game Rules” adopted by the PartyLotteries, provided, however, that the holder of a Mega Millions Grand Prize winningticket purchased in Illinois will be afforded 60 days, beginning with the day after thedrawing, in which to select the Cash Option or the Annuity Option (as defined in“Mega Millions Official Game Rules”). The selection of Cash Option or AnnuityOption must be made in writing on a form provided by the Department. If noselection is made by close of business on the 60th day after the drawing, or if theprize is not claimed by close of business on that day, the prize will be paid under theAnnuity Option. Once a selection is made by the winner or by the lapsing of the 60-day selection period, the payment option so selected is irrevocable. No Grand Prizepayment will be processed until the claimant submits an election form, or the 60-dayselection period lapses, whichever shall first occur. Grand Prize winners who selectthe Cash Option will receive the proceeds from the sale of the U.S. Governmentsecurities purchased to fund the Annuitized Grand Prize.2. The anticipated prize payout matrix set forth in Section 7.1 of the Mega MillionsOfficial Game Rules is repeated below for the convenience of our players, with prizevalues added.31
