Pilot and Escort Vehicles (cont.) RIS Proposal ► Longer term development of national approach for drivers of pilot and escort vehicles under Austroads freight program FS1701 ► In the interim all for mutual recognition of: - Level 1 pilots - Level 2 pilots - ‘Experienced’ Level 1 pilots from NSW, ACT, SA as Level 2 pilots ► Establish bilateral arrangements with neighbouring jurisdictions for police and authorised officers to escort loads Note: Operational details of mutual recognition yet to be determined
