Feature - Authorisations and exemptions • Class 2 vehicles are authorised. • Class 1 and 3 vehicles are exempted. • Difference is that Class 2 vehicles are within limits but have restricted access. • Similar laws for authorisations and exemptions. • Notices and permits used for authorisations and exemptions.
Feature - Notices and permits • A permit allows a person to use Class 1, 2 or 3 vehicles. • A notice allows Class 1, 2 or 3 vehicles to operate if they satisfy specified requirements. No need for operators of such vehicles to obtain a permit. • Notices and permits subject to conditions.
