Improving Your Handwriting (Grades K-2)Students will use a variety of sensory and tactile activities and games to increase their understanding ofhow to form letters increases a child’s consistency and accuracy when writing.Day: 6 Tuesdays (1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1) Time: 3:45-4:45 p.m. Limit: 6 studentsCost: $75Instructor: Diane Stevens, Occupational TherapistIntramural Basketball (Grades 7-8, Boys and Girls)Seventh and eighth grade students are invited to sign up for this new and exciting after school basketballprogram held in our new Harrington McLaughlin Athletic Center. Students will be assigned to teams ofsingle sex and play a variety of games and tournaments throughout all six (6) sessions. Students willimprove individual and team skills by playing basketball games in a low-key competitive environment. They willuse LEGO kits (ie: cars and dinosaurs), NXT Robotic Kits, Kinex, and LEGO books to makecreations of their choice. LEGO Digital Designer will be available on the Mac Labcomputers, experimenting with three-dimensional drawings and computer-aideddesign. Can you create a spider that moves or a device that moves across a rope? Howabout a 'vending machine' or a dancing robot?
