TECHNICAL CO-OPERATIONPOLICY7.1 AIMTechnical collaboration and co-operation in the implementation andstrengthening of relevant areas in the pharmaceutical sector shall beestablished with various stakeholders at the national, regional andinternational levelsTo ensure that relevant technical co-operations are explored, best practices andagreed standards promoted to optimise the effective use of resources andstrengthen national and regional policies.7.2 STRATEGYThe aim shall be achieved by training, sharing of information, expertise, skills andfacilities and through harmonisation of legislation, regulations and guidelinespertaining to medicines at national, regional and international levels.Partnerships involving various stakeholders and key players in the healthcare sectorshall be enhanced to achieve the desired goals, setting strategies and priorities, andimplementing policies.7.2.1 National PerspectiveThe Ministry of Health shall play a leading role in facilitating inter and intraagencycoordination, cooperation and information sharing between public and privatesectors for pharmaceutical services planning and implementation.Effective partnerships with consumers, industry, research institutions, academia,professionals, practitioners, government agencies and NGOs shall be furtherdeveloped to provide support for continued progress towards a globalisedenvironment in the pharmaceutical sector.Strategic alliance through mutual and shared understanding of roles, opencommunication, consultative arrangements and consensus agreement betweenstakeholders, regulators and implementers shall be fostered to achieve theappropriate standard of regulations and enforcement.28
