<strong>Supply</strong> on hire of Transportable Buildings and Portable ToiletsOverviewThe following document provides additional information regarding the majorrequirements for the supply on hire of Transportable Buildings and Portable Toiletsfor future Formula 1 TM Australian Grands Prix events to be held at Albert Park,Melbourne. The event is typically held in March over a four day period (Thursday toSunday inclusive), however a considerable amount of facilities are required to becompleted well prior to the event.Installation of infrastructure to support the event is carried out over an eight week buildperiod with dismantle beginning immediately following the event. Full dismantle isrequired within four weeks of the event.The Scope of WorksThe works under this Contract shall include but not be limited to:• preliminaries including provision of own site facilities;• supply, installation, preparation for use and removal of transportable buildings asspecified;• supply, installation, preparation for use and removal of portable toilets asspecified;• supply, installation, preparation for use and removal of window fittings andcoverings, e.g. blinds and security grilles if required;• supply, installation, preparation for use and removal of internal building partitionsand/or lockable doors if required; and

• provision of a Standby Crew during the event period for maintenance andrectification. Allowance shall include stocks of materials on site required toundertake such alterations or additions.Approximate numbers of transportable buildings required are as follows:• 2 No. of 12.0m x 6.0m complexes;• 49 No. of 12.0m x 3.0m buildings• 15 No. of 9.6m x 3.0m buildings• 88 No. of 6.0m x 3.0m buildings• 22 No. of 3.6m x 2.4m buildings• 1 No. shower blockApproximate numbers of portable toilets required are as follows:• 20 No. of 6.0m x 3.0m ‘VIP’ sewer connected toilet blocks• 46 No. of 6.0m x 3.0m sewer connected toilet blocks• 3 No. of disabled sewer connected toilet units• 16 No. of 6.0m x 3.0m ‘VIP’ pump out toilet blocks• 44 No. of 6.0m x 3.0m pump out toilet blocks• 14 No. of disabled pump out toilet units• 12 No. of 16 user pump out toilet blocks• 74 No. of 1.2m x 1.2m single pump out toilet unitsParticular attention will be paid to the presentation and appearance of all facilities. Onlythe best quality portable buildings will be selected for use and the successfulcontractor(s) must present a high quality finished product. Further to this a portion ofthe buildings may be required to be customised in order to meet the clients’requirements.In general, 60% of pans required shall be male and 40% shall be female.The Scope of ServicesThe Scope of Services required under this Contract shall include, but not be limited to:• preparation and implementation of externally accredited Quality Systems,Contract HS&E Plan and detailed construction schedules;

• inventory control, including submission of a list of additional materials ifrequired and a detailed inventory upon delivery and packing of containersincluding the quantity, condition and location of all assets, where applicable;• review and acceptance of survey data provided by others, including locationof underground services;• cooperation and coordination with other Contractors on site;• continuously monitor and maintain installed works;• continuously keep the Site and Albert Park clean of construction and generaldebris;• preparation and submission of any shop drawings required by thisSpecification or as otherwise necessary; and• provision of all facilities, crane use, hoisting, scaffolding, shoring, protectivescreens and hoardings and other works as may be necessary.Standards, Safety and InspectionsThe works shall be executed in accordance with the best trade practices to provide thesite with a first class installation both in performance and in appearance. They shall alsocomply with the requirements of all statutory acts and regulation that apply for worksincluding the relevant Australian standards as published by Standards Australia.The contractor shall under its own Quality Assurance programme and proceduresinspect the works during the installation.
