Thus <strong>the</strong> pioneer <strong>Lodge</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> great Canadian Northwest,which during <strong>the</strong> four years <strong>of</strong> its activity had added to its membership <strong>the</strong>foremost men <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> settlement, terminated its existence .On November 21, 1870, a Dispensation was issued by M . •.W. • . Bro . AlexanderA . Stevenson, Grand Master <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Grand <strong>Lodge</strong> <strong>of</strong> Canada, to Bro .Robert S . Patterson, Worshipful Master ; Bro . Norman J . Dingman, SeniorWarden, Bro . William N . Kennedy, Junior Warden, and six o<strong>the</strong>rs, to formand hold a <strong>Lodge</strong> which was designated as Winnipeg <strong>Lodge</strong> but which, bypermission <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Grand <strong>Lodge</strong>, afterwards changed its name to Prince Rupert's<strong>Lodge</strong>. The <strong>Lodge</strong> was located in Winnipeg, Province <strong>of</strong> Manitoba . It wasInstituted on December 1o, 1870, and its Charter was granted on July 13, <strong>of</strong><strong>the</strong> next year . At that time <strong>the</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> was regularly constituted and consecrated.'as Prince Rupert's <strong>Lodge</strong>, No . 240 G . R . C ., and <strong>the</strong> Officers were Installed . AsSenior Warden, Bro . William N. Kennedy succeeded Bro . Norman J . Dingman,who had removed from <strong>the</strong> jurisdiction, and Mat<strong>the</strong>w Coyne succeeded Bro .William N . Keenedy as junior Warden .On January 4, 1871, a Dispensation was issued by M :. W : . Bro . AlexanderA . Stevenson, Grand Master <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Grand <strong>Lodge</strong> <strong>of</strong> Canada, to Bro . John Frazer,Worshipful Master ; George Black, Senior Warden ; Thomas Bunn, Junior Warden,and four o<strong>the</strong>rs, to form and hold a <strong>Lodge</strong> to be designated as Manitoba<strong>Lodge</strong>, at Lower Fort Garry, in <strong>the</strong> Province <strong>of</strong> Manitoba . The name <strong>of</strong> this<strong>Lodge</strong> also was afterwards changed, by permission <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Grand <strong>Lodge</strong>, toLisgar <strong>Lodge</strong> . The <strong>Lodge</strong> was Instituted on February 20, 1871, a Charter wasgranted on <strong>the</strong> following July 13, and <strong>the</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> was regularly constituted andconsecrated as Lisgar <strong>Lodge</strong>, No . 244 G . R . C . Then <strong>the</strong> Officers were Installed .Bro . George Black succeeded Bro . John Frazer as Worshipful Master, Bro .Thomas Bunn succeeded Bro . George Black as Senior Warden, and William J .Piton succeeded Bro . Thomas Bunn as junior Warden . Permission for <strong>the</strong> removal<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> from Lower Fort Garry to Selkirk, Manitoba, was subsequentlygranted .On April 1g, 1871, a Dispensation was also issued by M .• Bro . AlexanderA . Stevenson, Grand Master <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Grand <strong>Lodge</strong> <strong>of</strong>.WCanada, to Bro .Frederick Y . Bradley, Worshipful Master, Bro . W . N . Drew, Senior Warden,Bro . James G. Milen, Junior Warden, and six o<strong>the</strong>rs, to form and hold a <strong>Lodge</strong>to be designated as International <strong>Lodge</strong>, at North Pembina in <strong>the</strong> Province <strong>of</strong>Manitoba . This <strong>Lodge</strong> was never Instituted, however, but when <strong>the</strong> Dispensationwas issued to Emerson <strong>Lodge</strong>, No . 6, in 1876 Bro . Bradley was namedMaster .On September 1g, 1872, a Dispensation was issued by M .'. W .'. Bro . WilliamM. Wilson, Grand Master <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Grand <strong>Lodge</strong> <strong>of</strong> Canada, to Bro . James Henderson,Worshipful Master, Bro . Arthur H . Holland, Senior Warden, Bro .Walter F . Hyman, Junior Warden, and six o<strong>the</strong>rs, to form and hold a <strong>Lodge</strong>
