Lawler Series 4000Thermostatic Shower Mixing ValveThe SolutionThe LAWLER SERIES 4000 Mixing Valveautomatically responds to temperature andpressure variations in hot and cold water lines. The stainless steel piston and liner preciselyproportions water flow to maintain a constantoutlet temperature. The Series 4000 controls shower and bath watertemperature to guard against unexpectedhot or cold water spikes. Lawler ThermostaticShower Valves are a natural choice for homes, motels, hotels, institutions, hospitals, clubs, and anywhere safe, comfortable showeringis required.Anti-Scald and Anti-Chill ProtectionLawler’s Series 4000 Valve guards against thepossibility of injury due to scalding. Should thecold water supply fail, the valve shuts downflow through the hot water inlet port. Chillingby cold water is also prevented since flowthrough the cold water inlet port is reducedif the hot water supply should fail. Only athermostatically operated valve can providescald-free/chill-free protection.Complete Application FlexibilityThe Lawler Series 4000 is available in manystyles and combinations to meet your fieldrequirements in the temperature control ofwater. Bronze, brass, copper, and stainlesssteel construction assures years of dependable service. The valve body is designed with a flat wallmounting flange so that the valve can beeasily mounted onto a shower wall, spa tub,or cabinet assembly.PRESSURE DROP, POUNDS PER SQUARE INCHFLOW CAPACITIES FLOW CAPACITIES SINGLE STAGE SINGLE - SERIES STAGE 3000 - SERIES 3500 3800 4000& 40007060504540353025201510981/2″ LOW7651 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 15 20 30 35FLOW OF WATER, GALLONS PER MINUTE* Standard valve is 1 / 2″ medium flowCAPACITIES – GPM SERIES 4000Pressure Drop PSI 5 10 20 30 45Valve Size1/2″ MED1/2″ HIGH3/4″ HIGHCapacity-GPM1/ 2″ 1.5 2.0 3.0 4.5 5.53/ 4″ 5.0 8.0 10.5 15 20CAPACITIES – LPM SERIES 4000Pressure Drop PSI 5 10 20 30 45Valve SizeCapacity-LPM1/ 2″ 5.7 7.5 11.4 17.0 20.8Making shower valves for over 60 years.3/ 4″ 18.9 30.3 39.7 56.7 75.7

Hot and cold waterinlets must have a minimum 15°F differentialfrom outlet set temperature.Piston AssemblyOnly Moving PartThe piston, liner, and springs are all constructedof stainless steel. Sliding parts arepolished or mirror finished for friction freedurability. The piston is the only moving partof the valve. All assembly units, including thepiston and liner, are easily removed for cleaningand inspection.Every Lawler valve is tested in the factorybefore being shipped to the customer.3/ 4″ 3/ 4″ 9 1 / 2″
