BIOGRAPHY<br />
Thomas Eriksson was born on<br />
April 7, 1964 in Skövde, Sweden.<br />
He received the M.Sc. degree in<br />
Electrical Engineering in 1990,<br />
and the Ph.D. degree in<br />
Information Theory in 1996,<br />
both from <strong>Chalmers</strong> University<br />
of Technology, Gothenburg,<br />
Sweden. He was at AT\&T Labs ‐<br />
Research from 1997 to 1998,<br />
and in 1998 and 1999 he was<br />
working on a joint research<br />
project with the Royal Institute<br />
of Technology and Ericsson<br />
Radio Systems AB. In 2003 and<br />
2004, he was a guest professor<br />
at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. Currently, he is an Associate Professor (docent) at the<br />
department of Signals and Systems, <strong>Chalmers</strong> University of Technology. His research interests<br />
include source coding, information theory and communication systems. Specific interests<br />
include channel quality feedback, phase noise modeling and cancellation and modeling of<br />
nonlinear amplifiers.<br />

� 1995, 1997: In 1995, I developed a course in speech coding, designed for the needs of<br />
Ericsson Microwave Systems. The course was updated and given again in 1997. Lectures,<br />
course material, a laboration, listening samples and exams was developed.<br />
