EL ARTE Y LA BELLEZALA SENSIBILIDAD ANTE LO BELLOEs evidente que todos no tenemos los mismosgustos ni la misma sensibilidad ante lo quenos rodea. Pueden ser muchos los factoresque influyen en nuestras diferencias, pero contoda seguridad que la cultura de una persona,tanto en su amplio como profundo sentido, tienemucha importancia en la configuración de nuestrosgustos estéticos.Para poder reconocer la belleza es necesarioque nos ilumine un foco interior. Si la obra de arteno encuentra eco en una personalidad sensible ydespierta, afinada en elementos culturales y estéticos,nada nos dirá ni en nada nos conmoverá.Y ese enriquecimiento y sensibilidad internossurgen de desarrollar el hábito de interiorizar, deno pasar por alto todo aquello que nos puede enseñaralgo. Este diálogo con nosotros mismos despiertael ojo del alma que mira, no sólo lo superficial,sino todo lo que la vida y la naturaleza nospueden desvelar.La atención consciente, la contemplación o la reflexión,despiertan resonancias interiores que van reconociendolo más bello, lo más justo, lo más bueno, en unmundo de contradicciones donde se mezcla lo sublime ylo abyecto. Es un proceso a través del cual el alma aprendea navegar por los mares de la materia.Los factores que van configurando nuestro gusto estéticotienen entonces mucho que ver con nuestra culturapersonal, con la lectura, con las elecciones cotidianas enmateria de sentimientos, con nuestras conversaciones,con nuestros intereses cotidianos. En fin, con laatmósfera tanto íntima como pública que alimentamosen el día a día.El desarrollo de nuestro potencial humano, especialmentede las excelencias del alma (virtudes) nos permitecada vez más reconocer y elegir lo mejor.
