12 featu DVFA celebrates its 50 Equities_ th anniversary_ Commemorative publication ‘Kapitalmarkt in Theorie und Praxis’ To mark the occasion of its 50 th anniversary, DVFA put together a commemorative publication on the theories and realities of the capital market entitled, ‘Kapitalmarkt in Theorie und Praxis’ (‘Capital market theories and realities’). It is a collection of essays from more than 40 respected authors on the future of Research, Asset Management, Regulation and Accounting, for use by both professional capital market experts and academics. Fritz H. Rau stressed: ‘We deem it important to bridge the gap between theory and practice – a guiding ambition that our society of investment professionals has had from the very start.’
featu Annual Member's Meeting_ Equities_ Annual General Meeting 2010 elects new board members On 26 May 2010, the DVFA Members’ Meeting elected Stefan Bielmeier of DZ BANK AG, Guido Hoymann of B. Metzler seel. Sohn & Co. KGaA and Michael Schmidt of Union Investment Privatfonds GmbH as new members of the Board of DVFA e.V.. Stefan Bielmeier will join the Fixed Income section, Michael Schmidt will work in Asset Management and Guido Hoymann support the Society in the area of Equities. The sitting board members: Fritz H. Rau (Chairman), Dr. Peter Merk (Deputy Chairman Fixed Income) of Landesbank Baden- Württemberg, Andreas Heinrichs of Vontobel AG (Secretary, Equities), Frank Klein of DB Advisors (Treasury, Asset Management), Ingo Ralf Mainert (Asset Management) of RCM/Allianz Global Investors KAG and Gunnar Miller (Equities) of RCM/Allianz Global Investors KAG, were reelected by the Members’ Meeting. Winfried Becker, after 8 years as a member of the Board, Klaus Holschuh after 6 years and Ernst- Ludwig Drayß after 4 years requested that their names be withdrawn from balloting.
