OBC ARRAY COILSBreast Array CoilThe OBC Breast Array Coil is a four channel array coil using multiple elements to surround breast tissue, providing exceptional imaging of the breast and axillary tissue. Bilateral and unilateral imaging modes may beselected for imaging. Unilateral imaging mode may be selected for superior fat saturation. This coil is thecornerstone for any diagnostic or interventional breast imaging center. The coil has large apertures to accommodate most patients, with ramp and sternum pad for patientcomfort. Available as an option is the Headrest Accessory which provides a prone patient with relaxed, elevatedhead support during the exam (for more information, see page 18). Large open architecture provides accessfor MR guided interventions. This model is available for GE, Siemens and Philips MRI systems. An optionalImmobilization and Biopsy Positioning Device (described below) is available for all Model OBC breast coils forbreast biopsy and wire localizations.Immobilization and Biopsy Positioning DeviceMedial and lateral plates gently immobilize the breast tissue for reduction of motion artifactsand accurate needle guidance. Set-up takes only minutes in an Invivo Model OBC BreastArray Coil. The device is sterilizable and is designed for compatibility with the Invivointerventional instruments shown in this catalog and vacuum assist biopsy devices. Both thevisual Grid targeting system and the coordinate Pillar system are included in the purchasepackage. The device comes complete with phantom and non-sterile sample needle forinstructional use.Pillar SystemLesion localization method targetsprecise coordinates of lesion relative toan MR visible fiducial marker.Grid SystemVisually oriented approachfor localization referencing lesion toa corresponding grid opening.12
