Numbers are systematically substitutedfor letters, resulting in complex hidden ideas, cross-references and double meanings inotherwise apparently straightforward texts. This work does not apply a similarly schematicapproach to music, but attempts a fitting mood and richness by means of complicatedcross-rhythmic overlays of colors and harmonies. This work was commissioned by DavidAmos and the JCC Orchestra of San Diego.— Arnold RosnerArnold Rosner (1945–2013)GematriaCopyright © 2015 The Estate of Arnold Rosner. www.arnoldrosnermusic.comMusic engraved by Jeffrey Grossman in SCORE 4.01Book typeset in Adobe InDesignver. 17 August 2015
