INSTALLATIONThe 8-3005 coil is intended to fit in the originalmounting location and allow continued use of the originalcoil cover. In most cases, you can use the original hardware.A parts bag with electrical terminals, spacers and abacking plate is provided for your convenience. If you mustuse the spacers for clearance, install the backing plate onthe other side of the coil (underneath mounting bolts) foradditional support. If you are not sure where your originalcoil is located, refer to your shop manual.Refer to Figure 1 or 2 for coil hookup. Make surethat the plug wires have the proper terminals and tight fittingboots.
