QSK19 MARINE QUALIFICATION – 5 DAYS<br />

(2006-51Q)<br />

COURSE OVERVIEW:<br />

This Course will ensure participants have a working<br />

understanding of the QSK19 Marine engine.<br />

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?<br />

• Internal Customers<br />

• External Customers<br />

• Experienced Technicians<br />

COURSE OBJECTIVES:<br />

The participants at the end of the training will be able<br />

to confidently identify all aspects of the QSK 19 Marine<br />

package, including engine systems, electronic engine<br />

management systems, marine control systems and the<br />

Insite diagnostic tooling. The participants will be able<br />

to prove their understanding of the QSK19 Marine<br />

package by passing both written and practical tests to<br />

a level of <strong>com</strong>petency as required by <strong>Cummins</strong><br />

Limited.<br />

COURSE CONTENT:<br />

• QSK19 engine familiarisation, architecture and<br />

flows.<br />

• QSK19 engine strip and rebuild: Service tooling and<br />

Repair procedures.<br />

• Function, operation and <strong>com</strong>ponents of the HPI fuel<br />

system.<br />

• QSK19 on-engine electrical and electronic systems.<br />

• Use of Insite.<br />

• ED3 digital system plus Main and Second Station<br />

arrangements.<br />

• Practical test out and written test.<br />

QSK19 CM850 MCRS QUALIFICATION<br />

- 5 DAYS (2008-02Q)<br />
