LEETH - (I am trying to get information on the name of LEETH. Several years
ago, from what source I have forgotten, I was told that the name came from Galway
Country and the town of Headford. The farthest back I can go in the USA is my Great
Grandfather, James B. LEETH, born 1 Dec 1847 and died 30 Dec, 1925. I have oral
testimony from an aunt: "I remember Grandpa as a tall Irishman with a lot of Irish
humor. As long as I can remember, he had a long white beard and white hair. He used
to tell about being an auctioneer and had a voice for it. He sang Irish tunes and could
dance an Irish Jog. He entertained the many little girls around him." I have
information on a Darius LEETH, basically the same
dates of birth and death, as being a Judge in Paulding County Ohio. I have yet to
make a direct connection between Ireland and the USA with LEETH's. LEETH is my
Mother's maiden name.), Gerald A Bumbalough, irish@bigfoot.com
LENNON - (I am looking for information on Daniel SHEEHAN and Mary Lennon
SHEEHAN. I have a letter which states they were married 02-Feb-1837 at Peter's
Wall, county Galaway. They had 3 children, Margaret b. 21-Aug-1847, John and
Margaret. Daniel died on 21-Aug-1847. In 1879 Margaret Lennon - SHEEHAN
immigrated to the US and on to Iowa. Any information on these would be
appreciated.), Gail Rieland - O'Hern, bluewateryachtcharters@msn.com, 3725 212th
