Application area of valves<br />

The engineering design of valves supplied by GF is<br />

based on the following design standards:<br />

Ï EN ISO 16135: Industrial valves - Ball valves of<br />

thermoplastic materials<br />

Ï EN ISO 16136: Industrial valves - Butterfly valves of<br />

thermoplastic materials<br />

Ï EN ISO 16137: Industrial valves - Check valves of<br />

thermoplastic materials<br />

Ï EN ISO 16138: Industrial valves - Diaphragm valves<br />

of thermoplastic materials<br />

Ï EN ISO 16139: Industrial valves - Gate valves for<br />

thermoplastic materials<br />

Ï EN ISO 21787: Industrial valves - Globe valves of<br />

thermoplastic materials<br />

The valves easily comply with the requirements set out<br />

in the above standards. In many cases, they exceed the<br />

requirements most notably for pressure / temperature /<br />

load capacity.<br />

It should be noted that depending on the engineering<br />

design, at high temperatures there may be a reduction in<br />

the application limits of pipes and fittings, whether this<br />

be in the amount of the permitted pressure or the<br />

maximum temperature.<br />
