Introducing the New EMC Team
The Enterprise
Mobility &
Collaboration
team (or EMC
for short!) is a
new team
which
comprises 10
people and
has been
created as part
of the
Information
Services
department.
Led by Kris Glover in his role as
Enterprise Mobility & Collaboration
Manager, the EMC team has a wide
remit, with a broad spectrum of
responsibilities - all of which focus on
improving the overall business through
the design and implementation of
enterprise wide Mobile and
Collaborative Business Solutions.
Starting with the 6S Vision and
working right the way through to the
‘shovel in the ground’, the EMC team
will be looking to identify any area
that can be improved through the use
of these new technologies.
This starts with gaining a full
understanding of both client and
industry drivers, as well as carrying out
detailed business analysis to determine
which technologies could add value to
the organisation and its clients. The team
will also liaise with other departmental
managers on a regular basis to ensure
that they are kept informed, and to
gather feedback and additional ideas
from within the business.
Other areas in which the team will be
getting involved include business
process modelling and architecture,
operational support for solutions which
the business is already using - for
example Mobile-i - software development,
and general ongoing research and
development within the mobile and
collaborative technology arena.

The team will also manage all new
technology projects and will undertake a
programme of continuous improvement
across all areas of its remit .

business areas over the coming weeks,
if we haven’t done so already, to
introduce the team - and we are also
keen to invite people to contact us
with ideas and suggestions for
potential improvements!
