• Risk management has always been embodied in the BNB culture due to the partnership
history of the Group and the high level of equity that senior executives have retained in the
Group post IPO.
• Cornerstones of the Group’s Risk Management framework include:
– Strategic and business planning processes;
– Accountability for the identification, assessment, monitoring and managing of risk within
business units and functions and risk reporting to management and the Board;
– Control activities including delegated authorities, financial and operational controls,
risk and portfolio monitoring, business continuity and disaster recovery planning;
– A well defined centralised investment approval process with approval delegations
commensurate with size and nature of the investment;
– Risk culture, policy and processes spanning all business units, functions and
specialist funds;
– An internal audit program;
– Oversight by the Audit and Risk Management Committee
