To toast his decade-plus journey as a Nashville songwriter—one that has him<br />

Kobalt To Rep Paul<br />

McCartney<br />

Kobalt Music Group Ltd. has announced the<br />

signing of an exclusive long-term deal with Paul<br />

McCartney and MPL, one of the world's largest,<br />

privately owned music publishing companies,<br />

which was founded by McCartney in 1971.<br />

With the exception of the US, Canada, UK and<br />

Eire territories, Kobalt will administer the songs of<br />

three MPL catalogues: MPL Communications,<br />

MPL Music Publishing and Cherio Corporation<br />

throughout the world and provide synch licensing.<br />

MPL encompasses one of the largest collections<br />

of classic hits by Paul McCartney, and over 1,000<br />

additional major songwriters and composers.<br />

The MPL Communications catalog includes<br />

all of McCartney's post-Beatles solo material,<br />

works by Linda McCartney and songs by Paul<br />

McCartney & Wings. Major hits include “Ebony<br />

and Ivory,” “Say Say Say,” “Jet,” “My Love,” “Band<br />

On The Run,” “My Brave Face,” “Listen To What<br />

The Man Said,” “With A Little Luck,” “Spies Like<br />

Us,” “Silly Love Songs,” “Vanilla Sky,” “Freedom,”<br />

“Dance Tonight” and the recent single, “My<br />

Valentine,” among many others.<br />

LyricFind<br />

The Harry Fox Agency, Inc. (HFA), a leading<br />

rights management solutions and services provider<br />

for the music industry, has announced<br />

the renewal of a lyrics licensing agreement with<br />

LyricFind, a worldwide leader in lyric solutions.<br />

Since its launch in 2004, LyricFind has entered<br />

into lyrics distribution agreements with major and<br />

many independent music publishers. In addition,<br />

LyricFind provides licensed lyrics to various digital<br />

service providers and has developed successful<br />

its catalog for synch in North America. Round<br />

the Gerald Marks Estate, Arif Mardin and the<br />
