About JACI TAYLOR:
I moved to Rhydypennau in 1980
and learnt to speak fluent Welsh.
I did some research about local
recycling habits which lead to an
improved waste collection service.
I opposed the building of houses
which were not affordable
(Ceredigion Unitary Development
Plan).

Who runs Ceredigion?
Although Plaid Cymru won the most votes last
time, the Council is currently run by an
Independent / Lib Dem / Labour coalition.
Through winning another two seats in the
elections on May 3 rd , Plaid Cymru can take
control of the County Council and bring about a
fresh start for Ceredigion.
Ar ddydd Iau, Mai 3 ydd , gallwch chi newid y
ffordd mae’r Cyngor yn rheoli Ceredigion…

Dechrau newydd i Geredigion
A fresh start for Ceredigion

Annwyl etholwr,
Mae wedi bod yn freuddwyd gen i wasanaethu fy
nhgymuned leol ers amser. Mae’r hinsawdd
economaidd presennol wedi achosi caledi i sawl un
yn ein cymdeithas, a hyd yn oed wedi torri ysbryd
y rhai cryfaf yn ein plith gyda sawl busnes yn
methu. Hoffwn weithio gyda chi i edrych o’r
newydd ar y sefyllfa yn Bow Street,
Rhydypennau, Dole, Llangorwen a Chlarach, gan
obeithio sefydlu mentrau newydd a fydd yn
arwain at adnewyddu’n gobeithion am well i
ddod. Mae gen i brofiad o fod yn gynghorydd
tref am dros 10 mlynedd gan ddal y swydd o
Faer Aberystwyth rhwng 2000 a 2001.

Dear elector,
For many years I have dreamed about serving my local community. The
present economic climate has caused much hardship for several
people in our society, to the extent of breaking the
strongest in our midst with the demise of several
businesses. I would like to work with you to look
from a new perspective at the situation in Bow
Street, Rhydypennau, Dole, Llangorwen and
Clarach, in the hope of establishing new ventures
that will renew our hopes of a better future. I have
over 10 years experience of being a town councillor,
and was Mayor of Aberystwyth between 2000 –
2001.

Ymgynghori’n eang gyda’r trigolion lleol gan sefydlu rhwydwaith o
gysylltwyr stryd/stâd/clwb, yn ogystal â gwneud awdit o’r cyfleusterau
presennol gan gynnwys pob busnes yn yr ardal.
Chwilio am grantiau, nawdd a chefnogaeth, i gynorthwyo pob sector o’r
gymdogaeth i sefydlu mentrau newydd yn yr ardal.
Ymgyrchu i gadw gwasanaethau Ysbyty Bronglais
Ymgyrchu dros hawliau pobl anabl.
Ymgyrchu dros ail agor gorsaf drên Bow Street.
Monitro diogelwch y ffyrdd a’r cynllun Gwarchod y Gymuned a threfnu
cyfarfodydd â’r heddlu i drafod materion perthnasol.
Cydweithio’n agos â Chyngor Cymuned Tirymynach a grwpiau eraill yn
yr ardal.
Lleisio barn a gofidiau pobl ward Tirymynach yng nghyfarfodydd
Cyngor Sir Ceredigion.
JACI TAYLOR’ priorities for the future:
Safeguard present amenities including Rhydypennau School,
Rhydypennau Hall, Bow Street football field, Tregerddan Home, and
Afallen Deg
Consult with local inhabitants thereby establishing a network of street/
estate/club contacts, as well as carrying out an audit of the present
amenities including every business in the area.
Search for grants, sponsorship and support to assist every sector of the
community to implement new ventures in the area.
Campaign to retain services at Bronglais Hospital.
Campaign for disabled people’s rights.
Campaign for the reopening of Bow Street station.
Monitor the safety of our roads and the Neighbourhood Watch scheme,
and organise meetings with the police to discuss relevant matters.
Work closely with the Tirymynach Community Council and other groups
in the area.
Voice the opinion and vexations of Tirymynach inhabitants in the
Ceredigion County Council meetings.
