Rainwater Solutions
The Marley Leafslide series 3 works as a debris diverter and water filter for new or existing
downpipes. It helps to stop leaves, animal droppings, mosquitoes and other debris from
entering into your tank or stormwater. The Leafslide is manufactured from UV stabilised
PVC with a fine stainless steel mesh screen ensuring over 95% of water is captured.
Leafslides are easy to install and require minimal maintenance. Code: RWLS
Positioning – The Leaflside is designed to be used with Marley 80mm & 65mm Round Downpipe,
Eclipse Half-Round Downpipe and Rectangular (65mm x 50mm and 100mm x 50mm) Downpipe. When
installing a Leafslide in a wet system ensure it is installed above the maximum level of the water tank.
• If the Leafslide is being connected to a tank, the tank must be at least 300mm lower
than the spouting (fig 1) and the Leafslide must be above the inlet to the tank.
• Less splashing is observed when a vertical drop of the downpipe running into the
Leafslide is 1.5 metres or less.
• The downpipe should be mounted flush with the back wall of the Leafslide body.
• Consideration should always be given as to where debris is discharged, eg. pathways
and decks.
Installation
To install the Leafslide, you will need
– Screwdriver and screws
– Downpipe adaptors (RA65.80, HR80.BA, MC19.80 and MC141.80)
– Marley MCS solvent cement
– Hacksaw
– Ladder
1. Position the downpipe into the top of the Leafslide body, so there is at least
10-15mm of downpipe inside the Leafslide inlet. The further into the Leafslide the
downpipe sits the better, making sure not to wedge the downpipe against the
screen making it difficult to take out and clean.
2. Screw the Leafslide to the wall or fascia using the screw holes at the back of the
Leafslide body. The Leafslide may need spacers between the wall and the Leafslide
depending on the type of wall and downpipe brackets.
RWLS. SCREEN
3. The outlet of the Leafslide can be connected to 80mm downpipe using Marley
Solvent Cement (MCS), follow the Marley Solvent Cement Instructions in the
Rainwater Installation Guide available at www.marley.co.nz. Use an adapter to
connect to other size downpipes.
Maintenance – Routinely wash the filter screen, by lifting it out of the body and cleaning it.
For an optimum performance of your leafslide, check regularly that there is no debris on the screen
blocking the flow.
Product Guarantee - Screen: 5 years when adequately maintained. Body: 15 years.
Additional screens are available separately.
