Kiwanis Doll started as first club in
KC Usti nad Labem November 23rd 2000
Kiwanis club Ustí nad Labem transmits (as the first club in
our district) first 66 Kiwanis doll to Masaryk ´s hospital in
Usti nad Labem. The Kiwanis dolls were welcomed with an
enormous joy and since that for whole 12 years we haven’t
stopped to distribute the Kiwanis dolls towards suffering
and ill children. The Kiwanis dolls are given to children
patients of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Clinic when they
come to the hospital and the Kiwanis dolls are kids´ friends
thought their stay there. Children rehabilitate with a help
of the Kiwanis doll, they are explained treatment on the
Kiwanis doll and Kiwanis doll accompanied them at the
operations unite. The Kiwanis doll is their true friend. The
Kiwanis doll had served children in the hospital for 12 years
and it has done lots of good.
The day when children met the Kiwanis doll in Masaryk’s
hospital for the first time, is for our club celebration day
– Kiwanis doll birthday party has been held at the end
on November for 12 years. We invite Kiwanis friends and
especially friends of the Kiwanis doll. Many volunteers help
us to bring Kiwanis doll project alive and without them we
could not do this marvellous Kiwanis project. Paramedics
from the hospital also celebrate the Kiwanis doll birthday,
because for them is Kiwanis doll irreplaceable helper.
November 27th 2012
We celebrated twelfths birthday of the Kiwanis doll on 27th
November 2012. The birthday party was cheerful and took
place in friendly atmosphere. The Kiwanis doll got a huge
birthday cake from representatives of Masaryk’s hospital.
The birthday cake was made by a local confectioner and was
eaten immediately. ☺ Children from kindergarten Domino
and orphanage Stekov sang and danced for us and senior
chorus sang for us folk songs at the end of the party. As a
special guest Josef Ondas (governor DIPF Czech republic
and Slovak republic) participated at the birthday party.
We and all attendees enjoyed the party indeed.
Kiwanis doll is really an extraordinary thing – thorough
Kiwanis doll we help MANY children and everybody who
knows Kiwanis doll assures us about its (her) unreliable
impact to children’s lives.
