As my senior year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting back on<br />
these last four years of high school. My time at Bradford High School<br />
has been quite interesting to say the least. I have forged some of the<br />
most brilliant friendships and learned some of the most valuable lessons<br />
within the halls of BHS. I think it is safe to say that the memories<br />
and experiences I have had during my time in high school have shaped<br />
me into the man I am today. So, I think it is only fitting to now take the<br />
time to give credit where credit is due.<br />
First of all, I would like to thank my awesome family who have loved<br />
and supported me throughout my life (and yes, I find “awesome” to be<br />
the adjective best fitted to describe my family). Thanks must also go<br />
to my close group of friends who have been with me throughout high<br />
school, start to finish. You guys have shown me some of the best times<br />
of my life and I could not imagine going through high school any other<br />
way.<br />
I humbly thank the noble staff of Bradford High School for their<br />
insightful guidance in the matters of public education and beyond. I<br />
would especially like to salute two of the best journalism teachers I<br />
have had the pleasure of learning under at BHS: Ms. Cable and Ms.<br />
Poag. Both have taught me valuable and rather practical life skills and<br />
the Bradford County School District is lucky to have such exemplary<br />
instructors under their payroll. I am also highly thankful for the opportunities<br />
offered to me by Santa Fe College’s Dual Enrollment program<br />
as well as the Kiwanis Key Club.<br />
As they say, where one chapter ends, another begins. Following<br />
graduation, I set my sights on the University of Florida. I hope to involve<br />
myself in the various community activities within the Gator Nation<br />
as I explore different career paths.<br />
Finally, I give my thanks to the BHS Class of 2012. Thanks for the<br />
friendships and memories you have shared with me over the years.<br />
Congratulations my fellow seniors and I wish you all the best in your<br />
endeavors.<br />
I would like to say thank you to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I<br />
would also like to thank my family and friends who have supported me<br />
in most things I have done. My family has helped make me the person<br />
I am today, and my friends are making me who I will be tomorrow.<br />
For me, school has always been an enjoyment. I have always loved<br />
to learn new things, and I always love a good challenge. Growing up,<br />
I never went anywhere without a book in my hand and a question on<br />
my mind.<br />
Elementary school was a great time because of the teachers I had<br />
who supported me wholeheartedly. Middle school was a new adventure<br />
that I was ready to tackle. Once again, thanks to my excellent<br />
teachers I breezed through my three years there. Finally, I came to high<br />
school where I gained so many things and had so many accomplishments,<br />
getting awards such as Florida’s Sunshine State Scholar and<br />
Golden B. Now, I’ve reached my senior year and have been awarded<br />
the honor of salutatorian.<br />
Very soon, I will be starting my college experience at the University<br />
of Florida where I am studying zoology and pre-veterinarian medicine.<br />
After I receive my master’s degree, I will be accepted into UF’s<br />
college of veterinarian medicine where I will achieve my doctor of<br />
veterinary medicine degree and attain my license to work. Eventually,<br />
I hope to minor in business and start my own veterinary practice. After<br />
I retire, I hope to set up my own nature preserve.<br />
Thank you to everyone who has ever had any influences in my<br />
life whatsoever, I can’t thank you enough. As I leave Bradford High<br />
School, I say goodbye to all the ones I leave behind, from the teachers<br />
and faculty to the students. I will miss all of you. I say goodbye to my<br />
past life and hello to my new one. Remember, without courage you<br />
will never be able to accomplish your dreams.<br />
